The Work We Are Called To

Serving God will stress you. It will stress your time and your family. It is how God has designed it. God uses our service to grow and stretch us. We need to work in service to God. He uses the description of a harvest to describe the labour to which we are called. It is the greatest work that we can give ourselves to.

We are called to evangelism. However we need to do it for the right reasons. You shouldn’t be coerced into evangelism by anyone. But in understanding the Word of God, we will understand the command. When we look at the life of the early disciples, they would always proclaim Jesus, even as they were being persecuted and forced from their homes.

So we need to ask ourselves – is our life structured to allow evangelism? Or does evangelism slip down our list of priorities? How obedient are we being to the Word of God? Where is our intensity for Jesus?
