The Changing of the Guard

The Word of God is the final authority for our lives. Not a pastor, preacher or Bible teacher. The Bible that we have is the inerrant Word of God, to the extent that the translators have interpreted the original languages correctly. Most of the modern translations, especially the word for word translations (e.g. NKJV, NASB, ESV etc) are accurate representations. There are some small errors, such as the use of “unicorn” in the KJV, which are mistranslations.

What we need is the exposition and preaching of the Word of God so that we know how we are to live our lives. In the preaching of the Word, we will understand what we are called to. And then when we get a call to assist our brethren in other countries, we will heed the call. But because of the tele-evangelists we see in the world, many Christians have become hardened in their attitude of helping our brethren in other countries.
