Larrikins in the Lobby
We need to be on guard when Christians come into our fellowship from other churches. Some will come with their own doctrines, and will attempt to garner support for these doctrines within the congregation. What they seem to be seeking is to change the church by changing the underlying beliefs. And this was faced in the early church.
There were a group who were “of the circumcision,” who attempted to have all Gentiles conform to Jewish customs, especially circumcision. When they challenged Peter over having dined with the Gentiles and not compelling them to become circumcised.
So how should we deal with these people today? What should our approach be?
